Nice day in London so I was out for an hour or 2 riding bike through near empty streets but packed parks. Flowers in Meanwhile Gardens are awesome at this time of year and the smell wonderful. Heavy police presence in The gardens, with stop and search and two steriod looking body builders, spotless, white, skintight, tea shirts over Rambo bodies standing at the end of the kids skateboard bowl, arms folded, watching everyone go by. I pass trees and say thank you, stop under the elder, breathe deeply because its smell reminds me of how much it delighted me in childhood. I hope its seeds and genes are not owned by Monsanto. I bring this light and darkness home to the studio where as usual it has slid out onto day 5 of the Lockdown painting.
